I don't know which I love more.....

finishing a book, or going home to start a new one????

I just finished a really good book! Sworn to Silence by Linda Castillo was really good! I love a good thriller/suspense story and this book did not disappoint! I can't believe I didn't get my hands on this book sooner but I'm so glad I finally did! I love the characters and the setting of this book which is partly in Amish Country. I love that the characters aren't perfect and I love that they have skeletons in their closets. I think it's safe to say there wasn't much about this book that I didn't love.

And the best part about this book.............

it has a sequel....it's part of a series, which is my most favorite thing!

I love when a story keeps going and the characters that you like get to stay alive and keep doing what they do!

I can't wait to go home, crawl into bed and start the next book, Pray for Silence!

  1. Interesting post! I'm not sure which I love more either, and think both are great for their own reasons. Love finishing a good book and savoring every bit! It's even better if you can discuss it with someone who loved it just as much as you did. I also love starting a new book, because you're not sure where it will take you and you're looking forward to an incredible reading experience!

Hope you love Pray For Silence as much as the first one!

  2. I love when a good book has a good sequel to it and then there's nothing like cracking open a whole new tale and hoping its good and there's a sequel after it either.

  3. I have to say that I get a little sad, even if the book was great and satisfying, when I finish a book... unless it's part of a series. You're right...that's the best thing! I just started the latest in a series tonight.
That said, though... I ADORE starting a new book... especially the reading the first line. I'll be posting my First Line Friday tomorrow. Join in, if you want!
